Gwen
Lawrence has been a practicing fitness professional since 1990. Her current
practice includes: yoga and yoga training; yoga class instruction; and
sports yoga training. Gwen’s unique combination of yoga training,
coupled with her extensive knowledge of anatomy, nutrition and homeopathy,
provides her class participants with overwhelming benefits.
A nationally recognized, registered yoga teacher since 1998, Gwen received
intensive instructor training at the Triangle Yoga Studio in Santa Monica,
CA. She is schooled in lyengar, Hatha, and Ashtanga yoga, but prefers
teaching a blend of the three styles that works the entire body and mind.
In addition to her class and private instruction, Gwen teaches yoga to
a variety of sports groups, including: several New York Yankees
baseball players; the New York Giants football team;
the New York Red Bulls soccer team; the New York
Knicks basketball team; the New York Rangers
hockey team; Pace University baseball team; Rye
Country Day School baseball, football, and squash teams, as well
as the school’s physical education classes.
Gwen received
her experienced 500-hour yoga certification under the direction of Gail
Walsh at Yoga Mountain in Nyack, NY. The founder and director of the Net
of Jewels School of Yoga, Gwen continues to study the varying practices
of this 5,000-year-old art form. She is a member in good standing of Yoga
Alliance (YA) and the Yoga Teacher’s Association (YTA).
Additional highlights of Gwen’s fitness career include: being a
member of the PowerBar Team EliteTM Program since 2003; and managing and
operating private fitness centers in both corporate and residential facilities.

Ted
Lawrence is the Head Varsity Baseball Coach for Rye Country Day School
in Rye, NY. Ted was drafted as a junior by the Detroit Tiger organization
where he played at many levels and was invited to join their 40 man roster
as a catcher in 1986. He has a Masters in Physical Education and has been
a teacher/baseball coach for 16 years, leading his teams to many prestigious
titles including a state championship. Ted has also founded and runs 9er
Baseball camps and clinics for young players ages 8-16.
